Who is eligible for a Berkman grant?

Faculty who are employed full-time at Carnegie Mellon University in any of the teaching, research, tenure or librarian/archivist track positions are eligible. You do not need to already have tenure; in fact, we especially encourage young faculty to apply. We request that you wait two years after receiving a grant to apply for another one.

Although these positions may be considered full-time for the time that they are here, visiting scholars, professors, or researchers are unfortunately not eligible.

If you have any questions about whether you (and optionally your project partner) are eligible, please contact Anna Houck.
