The Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences highlights Carnegie Mellon's unique brand of multidisciplinary collaboration and innovation in many ways. We offer a range of traditional, inter-disciplinary, and even inter-college degree programs. When you apply to Dietrich College, you have many options to choose from--or even design your own custom degree program. Dietrich College, with about 1,300 undergraduate and graduate students, is the second largest academic unit at Carnegie Mellon. The college is comprised of eight academic departments and four specialized undergraduate degree programs, including two that are offered in conjunction with the College of Fine Arts and the Mellon College of Science.
